Troy University Public Radio launches fall fund drive

TROY - Troy University Public Radio's fall fund drive, which helps support the programming offered by the network, will kick off Oct. 1 under the theme "The Informed Choice."

The drive will run through Oct. 8, and offers different options through which supporters can make donations.

"TROY Public Radio is your public radio station," said Kyle D. Gassiott, operations manager. "It's your daily source, on the radio, for news, conversation starters and smart entertainment. 'Morning Edition,' 'Here & Now,' 'Marketplace' and 'All Things Considered' keep you informed and engaged with current events. You make the choice to listen to programs such as 'In Focus with Carolyn Hutcheson,' 'Fresh Air with Terry Gross' and 'On Point with Tom Ashbrook' because they keep you connected."

In addition to regular news coverage and musical programming, TROY Public Radio also provides in-depth election coverage from skilled reporters from national and international networks.

"Because you choose to listen to us throughout the year and specifically in campaign season, you can say that TROY Public Radio is the informed choice," he said. "Your support will help ensure that we will be here now and for listeners in generations to come."

The network offers world, national and regional news, arts and cultural programming on 89.9 FM Montgomery/Troy, 88.7 FM Dothan, 91.7 FM Columbus/Phenix City and HD Channel 1. Hybrid Digital service, available free to listeners with HD radios, also includes HD Channel 2 Classical Music 24 and HD Channel 3 BBC World News. All of the Troy University Public Radio stations and HD channels offer listeners a commercial-free radio experience.
