TROY Symphony Band concert is Sunday

TROY - The Troy University Symphony Band will perform a concert Sunday, Nov. 13 in Claudia Crosby Theater on the Troy Campus.

Director of Bands Dr. Mark Walker said this fall's concert, which is free and open to the public, features a variety of music including works by composers Hindemith, Debussy, Arnold, Giroux, and Halvorsen. In addition, senior music education major Marissa Stanfill, of Panama City, Fla., will be the featured performer in "Premiere Rhapsody" by Claude Debussy.

The concert, which begins at 3 p.m., will also feature the world premiere of "Lightning Hammer," composed by TROY alumnus Tyler Arcari, a 2014 Master of Science in education, instrumental music graduate and director of bands at Russell County High School in Seale.
