Jim Adams

Mr. Jim Adams is originally from Tacoma, Wash. He received a bachelor of arts degree in speech education from the University of Puget Sound, a master of arts degree in communication studies from Washington State University, and is pursuing a doctorate in organizational communication training at Washington State University.
He couples 30 years of higher education teaching experience as an adjunct and full-time community college and university instructor with 25 years of experience in retail operations management, outside sales, and corporate training and development.
His expertise lies in the study of organizations as cultures and communities; identifying human communication activities dysfunctional to organizational goal seeking, delivering, and assessing communication training interventions.
He is currently a Lecturer of Speech Communication in the Department of Speech & Theatre at Troy University. His research study, “Assessing college student perceptions of instructor service via the Quality of Instructor Service to Students (QISS) Questionnaire” will appear in the international Journal of Assessment and Evaluation in Education in mid-2006.
He has been an invited speaker at the International Alliance of Teachers Scholars (IATS) Lilly North Conference, in Traverse City, Mich., September, 2005, to present: “Applying the Quality of Instructor Service to Students (QISS) approach to Student Relationship Management (SRM).” |
