Dr. Catherine Allard
Professor of Music
Dr. Catherine Allard is professor of music in Troy University’s John M. Long School of Music, a position she’s held since 1989. A soprano soloist, she is the school’s principal voice instructor, conducts the Troy University Women’s Madrigal Ensemble and directs the University’s Opera Ensemble.
She earned both her bachelor's and master's of music degrees from the Crane School of Music at State University College at Potsdam, N.Y., and a doctor of musical arts degree from the Peabody Conservatory at Johns Hopkins University in Baltimore, Md.
Dr. Allard is also host of OPUS 3, a one-hour researched radio program on Troy University public radio exploring a different topic of western classical music each week with commentary and representative music. She is the conductor of the Alabama Jubilee Chorus and has extensive performance, production and direction experience.
Dr. Allard is a past president of the Pilot Club of Troy and serves as a Pilot Club regional appointee. |
