Dr. Sergey Belyi
Associate Professor of Mathematics
Dr. Sergey Belyi joined the Troy University faculty in 1996. He received his Ph.D. in mathematics and his master’s degree in mathematics from the University of South Florida. He earned his bachelor’s degree in mathematical education from Donetsk ( Ukraine) State University.
His research interests include functional analysis, Spectral Theory of Linear Operators, Special Functions and Differential Equations. He is a member and vice-chair of the mathematics section of the Alabama Academy of Sciences and a member of the American Mathematical Society and the Mathematical Association of America. Dr. Belyi is associate editor of the MERLOT (Multimedia Educational Resource for Online Teaching) Mathematics Editorial Board. |
