James G. Davis
Assistant Professor of English
Professor James Davis attended the University of Alabama, where he received an A.B. in English and a minor in German in 1978. He also graduated magna cum laude with a quality point average of 2.81 on a 3.0 scale. He also received his M.F.A. in creative writing, specializing in fiction from the University of Alabama in 1984.
Professor Davis’s professional experience includes graduate teaching assistant in the English Department with the University of Alabama volunteer position on the editorial staff of the Black Warrior Review and part-time temporary Instructor with the English Department at the University of Alabama. He was also an English Instructor at Troy University and is currently the Assistant Professor for the English Department at Troy University.
He has received awards from the National Alumni Association Honors Scholarship from the University of Alabama, the Delta Sigma Phi German Honorary, Dobro Slovo Slavic honorary and Phi Beta Kappa.
