Catherine Leslie Flynn
Assistant Professor
Health, Physical Education and Recreation
Professor Catherine Flynn received her B.A. in 1975 from Troy University with a major and minor in HPER (Health, Physical Education and Recreation) and her M.A. in 1978 from the University of Alabama in health education. Her professional experience includes teaching and coaching at several schools, graduate assistant in HPER at the University of Alabama and currently as the assistant professor for HPER at Troy University.
Professor Flynn is also a member of the American Alliance for HPER and Dance, the Alabama Association for HPER and Dance, the College Association of HPER and Dance and the American National Red Cross. She is also the Co-Director of GTA’s Kinesiology Department, an Academic Advisor for Pedagogy and Sports Management and Co-Director of the State 4-H Convention in Dothan, Al.
Her teaching assignments include swimming, lifeguard training, water safety instructor, physical skills proficiency, organization, personal health, and many more, She has also published a series of articles on fitness for the Troy Messenger and performed a research survey on the percentage of obese college female freshmen. |
