Dr. Scott Nokes
Assistant Professor of English
Dr. Scott Nokes, assistant professor of English, joined the Troy University faculty in 2003. He earned his Ph.D. in English from Wayne State University and his baccalaureate degree from Butler University in Indianapolis, IN.
He has published extensively on the topics of early English literature. He teaches composition courses, Old English Language and Literature, world literature and a graduate course called “Monsters in Literature.” His primary academic interests also include film and popular culture.
Dr. Nokes has taught abroad at the YoungNam Foreign Nationalist Institute in Daegu, Korea; the Hyundae Foreign Language Institute in Busan, Korea; at Klaipeda University in Lithuania and at Lithuania Christian College. He serves as a faculty co-advisor to the International Student Cultural Organization at Troy University. |
