Donna Clark Schubert
Associate Professor
Department of Journalism

Donna Clark Schubert is associate professor of journalism in the University’s Hall School of Journalism where she specializes in public relations. Schubert also serves as national vice president of the Honor Society of Phi Kappa Phi.

Mrs. Schubert earned a master of arts in mass communication and public relations and a bachelor of arts in public relations and journalism from Auburn University. She has advanced coursework in academic advising and adult training from Kansas State University.

Mrs. Schubert joined the University’s faculty in 1990. At the University, she leads the public relations contract program that annually joins a team of students with corporate clients. In six of the past seven years, her students have won first-place recognition in the comprehensive public relations plan category from the Public Relations Council of Alabama. Clients have included the Pike Regional Child Advocacy Center, the Alabama Campaign to Prevent Teen Pregnancy, Alabama Electric Cooperative, the Higher Education Partnership, and Southeastern Public Radio. Prior to joining the University, Schubert served on the faculty of Auburn University.

Mrs. Schubert also serves as the Troy University Catalog Editor, Faculty Handbook Editor and Coordinator of Academic Advising for the Office of the Provost.

In her role as National Vice President of the Phi Kappa Phi, Mrs. Schubert has been instrumental in the creation of a literacy grants program and in marketing the Society to its members and the higher education community.
