Dr. Jefferson Spurlock

Dr. Jefferson Spurlock is an assistant professor of broadcast journalism in the Hall School of Journalism. Dr. Spurlock specializes in broadcast journalism.
Dr. Spurlock has 15 years of professional broadcast journalism experience. He worked as a news reporter, anchor, producer, and managing editor at a number of radio and TV stations, including:
WKDA (AM)/WKDF (FM) in Nashville, Tennessee
WVJS (AM)/WSTO (FM) in Owensboro, Kentucky
WVJS-TV in Owensboro, Kentucky
WTVK-TV (NBC Affiliate) in Knoxville, Tennessee
WFIE-TV (NBC Affiliate) in Evansville, Indiana
Prior to joining the Hall School of Journalism's faculty, Professor Spurlock taught at Middle Tennessee State University, Sam Houston State University, The University of Southern Mississippi, and at the National High School Institute at Northwestern University.
