Dr. Vitaly I. Voloshin
Associate Professor of Mathematics, Physics, Computer Science and Geomatics
Dr. Vitaly I. Voloshin is an associate professor in the Department of Mathematics, Physics, Computer Science and Geomatics. Prior to coming to TROY in 2003, he served as a visiting professor at the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaigne and later at the University of Delaware.
Voloshin also previously served as the leading researcher at the Institute of Mathematics and Computer Science at Moldavian Academy of Sciences, associate professor at Moldova State University and lecturer and scientific secretary at Kishinev State University.
He earned his master’s degree in Applied Mathematics from Moldova State University in 1976 and is doctorate degree in Graphs and Combinatories from Ukrainian Academy of Sciences where he received the best young scientist award.
Voloshin speaks seven languages – English, Russian, Romanian, Italian, French, Ukrainian and German – and has teaching experience in English, Russian, Italian and Romanian.
Voloshin is the Fellow of The Institute of Combinatorics and its Applications and a member of the American Mathematical Society, the Mathematical Association of America, the Hegel Society of America and the Moldavian Mathematical Society. He also is a member of the editorial boards of the electronic scientific journal MIR of the Moldavian Academy of Sciences and the Computer Science Journal of Moldova. |
