Janet A. Widell
Assistant Professor, Nursing
Janet Widell joined the faculty in the Troy University School of Nursing in 2000. She has brought more than 20 years of practical experience as a nurse to the classroom, including several nursing supervisory positions.
Widell earned her bachelor of science degree in nursing from Columbia University In New York City and her master’s degree in nursing from the University of Alabama-Birmingham. She also received post-master’s degree credit in psychiatric nursing from UAB.
She is a member of the Alabama State Nurse’s Association and Sigma Theta Tau honor society.
