Trip to Mississippi an education for Troy University Students

Troy University students Andrea Downing, a broadcast journalism major from Ozark, Katrina Blackmon, a sport and fitness management major from Dothan, Anitra Gilford, a criminal justice major from Ashford, and Marabeth Turlington, an elementary education major from Gainesville, Fla., help distribute supplies Sunday in hurricane-ravaged Waveland, Miss. The students were part of an eight-person team led by Dr. Candice Howard, a kinesiology and health promotion professor, who took donated supplies and helped serve food to victims of Hurricane Katrina. |
