Rotarian honored with gateway naming

| A 16,000-plus pound granite globe was unveiled as the centerpiece of the Hatcher International Gateway to Troy University’s Rotary International Center in Pace Hall. The globe, signifying the University’s global mission, was dedicated as part of the gateway in honor of Dr. Nolan Hatcher and his wife Willetta for their contributions to the University’s international program. During the ceremony, the Troy Rotary Club presented a $12,500 check – it’s eighth in a pledge of $125,000 to support the Rotary International Center that serves as a headquarters for the more than 620 international students at Troy. More than 50 nations are represented in the University’s international student cadre.
