| Crews from Meredith Environmental of Pelham begin the demolition of Dill Hall, a residence hall on Troy University’s Troy Campus, on Thursday. The building, which was placed in service in 1959, was named for Joseph Macon Dill, the first president of State Normal School, the original name of Troy University. A new three-story, 65,000 square foot College of Education building will be constructed once the site is cleared. The demolition and debris removal is expected to take two to three weeks. Site preparation for the new building is anticipated to begin July 12 with an expected completion date of January 2009. |
