Former U.S. Ambassador to the United Nations Sichan Siv told graduates at Troy University Friday to “never give up” in their struggles. Siv escaped Cambodia’s Khmer Rouge regime to eventually settle in the United States and achieve a position of prominence in American politics. Nearly 500 undergraduates received their diplomas in the Sartain Hall ceremony. An afternoon ceremony for graduate students also took place.
