"Bibb Graves as the signature building at Troy University really has been the centerpiece. Topped by a beautiful palladium, it reflects the finest of this university. It reflects also the name of a great governor in the history of Alabama – one who valued education and invested lots of money throughout the state to make education available and quality driven. Bibb Graves, the exterior will remain as it has been, so there won’t be a major modification of the building except for the additional 42,000 square feet that will be constructed on the back side of the building but that too will be in keeping with the original architectural style. The major changes will take occur within the building where all the important systems – mechanical, lighting and so forth- will be changed and brought up to current levels of expectation in terms of standards. It will be a high tech building. We think that’s the future of this University. We will continue to be a high-touch, but a high-tech environment. It’s an exciting addition and one that will pay dividends for the next several decades."
