DOTHAN – State Rep. Paul Lee will deliver the keynote address to Troy University graduates during the fall commencement ceremony for the Dothan Campus on Sunday, Dec. 16. Lee, a fourth-generation Dothan native and lifelong resident of the city, was elected to the Alabama House of Representatives, District 86 seat in 2010. He currently serves on the Health, Agriculture and Local Government committees. He has sponsored and passed several bills including an Aviation Bill, which gives tax breaks for aviation companies to locate in Alabama, and the Jason Barfield Bill, which provides certain tax exemptions for the families of soldiers killed in action while overseas. Rep. Lee has been an active member of the community, previously serving as the Houston County Campaign Chairman for the Wiregrass United Way, as a member of the Houston County Healthcare Authority for the Southeast Alabama Medical Center and is currently an active member of the Dothan Rotary Club. A former Dothan City Commissioner who worked for Sony’s Magnetic Tape Division for 30 years, Rep. Lee is currently a sales representative for WDHN-TV.
