I agree that I am familiar with all Troy University policies stated in the ePolicy Manual, http://trojan.troy.edu/epolicy/, including those related to Section 800 Technology and Section 900 Advancement.
In addition, I will ensure that no material posted to the website is:
· inaccurate
· inconsistent with University policies or procedures
· sexist and/or racist
· offensive in language or tone
· political commentary
· defamatory, abusive or harassing
· pornographic
· commercial advertising
As a user of this system,
- I understand that the purpose of these Joomla-based pages is to provide general promotion of the campus / academic program or unit of the University. Therefore, I will not attempt to announce news or similar information without first ensuring that the University Relations division is apprised of the news and information to be shared. Similarly, I will ensure that the appropriate academic dean, campus vice chancellor or other supervisor is informed and engaged prior to release of any news directly from my unit.
· I will do nothing that might lead users of the TROY Web site into making improper use of our services or facilities, for example, by providing links to:
- archives that may contain pornographic material
- sites that distribute illegal software
- bulletin boards that contain dubious material
- I will ensure that every link to an external organization or web site accurately represents the relationship of the University with the external organization or site.
- I will ensure that access to these pages is not provided to students or any external entity, including partners of the University and vendors, with the exception of Seventh Point.
- I understand that my use of this Joomla system may be terminated at any time for any reason, including reorganization of the website or reassignment of page editing duties.
- I accept responsibility for prompt correction of errors and style problems.
- I understand that content I post may be changed at any time as deemed necessary by the Information Technology unit or the Marketing unit.
