Pi Alpha Alpha

Purpose: Pi Alpha Alpha is the national public policy and public administration honor society. Eligibility for chartering a chapter of Pi Alpha Alpha requires that the university be a member of the National Association of Schools of Public Affairs and Administration. The society encourages and recognizes superior achievement in the study of policy and administration in government at the undergraduate and graduate levels. Undergraduate membership requires a minimum of 3.5 GPA in 15 hours of undergraduate public administration courses and 3.3 GPA overall. Graduate membership requires a minimum 3.7 GPA after a minimum of 27 hours of master’s level public administration courses. The Troy University PI Alpha Alpha chapter includes students at the Troy Campus and Global Campus.
