Troy University is committed to protecting your privacy. The University has established this privacy policy and is providing it to you so that you can understand the manner in which Troy University collects and uses your information and the efforts we use to protect it. Our service provider reviews these logs, using statistical analysis, in an effort to track and predict traffic patterns and estimate resource needs. Unless we are tracking down a technical problem or we suspect either fraudulent behavior or illegal conduct, we do not trace specific user sessions. Because Troy University is a public institution, some information collected from its website may be subject to the Alabama Open Records Act, or in some instances, the University may be compelled by law to release information gathered from its web servers. Some web servers at Troy University may adopt different privacy statements as their specific needs require that may differ from this statement.

Tom Davis, a member of the Troy University class of 1981, has worked in the Office of University Relations at his alma mater since 1998. A native of Langdale, Alabama, Davis spent 16 years in journalism following his graduation from Troy University. He worked in news management positions at the Eufaula (Alabama) Tribune and The Bainbridge (Georgia) Post-Searchlight. He also was a reporter for the Southern Star in Ozark, Alabama and The Montgomery Advertiser. During his newspaper career, Davis received awards for newswriting, editorial writing, page design and photography. Davis also served as editor of The National Journalism Center, a non-profit foundation in Washington, DC, for three years. He's married to the former Deborah Strickland of Russellville, Alabama, and is a member of St. Mark’s Episcopal Church in Troy. He was chosen as alumnus of the year for print journalism in 1994 by the Journalism Alumni Association of the Hall School of Journalism.

Clif Lusk is a Mississippi native with 20 years of journalism experience.

  

Prior to joining the University Relations staff, he was editor of the five-day daily The Demopolis Times. His original draw to Troy was as managing editor of the daily newspaper, The Messenger, a sister newspaper to The Times. He formerly published the South Mississippi SportsJournal, served as an assistant metro editor of The Clarion-Ledger in Jackson, Miss., and was assistant publisher for The Magee Courier, Simpson County News and Southwest Rankin Times, based in Magee, Miss. He began his newspaper career at The Columbian-Progress in Columbia, Miss.

  

Although Lusk has spent much of his professional career in the community newspaper business, he has also served in the public sector. His work experience also includes serving as public relations director for the Mississippi Emergency Management Agency and director of information for the Mississippi Association of Supervisors, the state's non-profit county government organization.

  

He holds bachelor's degrees from the University of Mississippi in journalism and political science. His wife, Buffy, is a counselor at Goshen High School. The Lusks have four children, Clifton, Caitie, Mary Lacy and May Morgan and attend First Baptist Church in Troy.
