About the Program

Since 2017, Troy University dancers have traveled to Italy to participate in the Danza in Arte a Pietrasanta - the DAP Festival. This international partnership now provides a new and exciting opportunity for dancers in the United States: the TROYxDAP International Dance Experience.

Primarily designed for high school students and pre-professional dancers, this intensive combines performance, training, international cultural exchange and a strong synergy between contemporary dance and other art forms.

Pre-Registration

Real Artistry. Real Connections.

This intensive combines performance, training, international cultural exchange and a strong synergy between dance and other art forms, modeling after the DAP Festival in Italy. During this three-day experience on the Troy Campus, participants will engage beyond dance technique in a unique, elite experience featuring internationally known stars of dance. Dancers will learn from master performers and teachers from Europe and the U.S., perform and present their own choreographic works, experience live dance performances and exhibitions and expand their creative and cultural perspectives.

What to expect.

EDUCATION & TRAINING

Daily master classes taught by international and U.S.-based artists offer intermediate and advanced level instruction in dance technique and artistry as well as scholarship opportunities.

DANCE PERFORMANCE

A variety of dance presentations, including a grand gala of international artists and showcase of invited student performances, offer chances to perform and to witness excellence in dance performance.

COMMUNITY ARTS EXCHANGE

Community-based presentations featuring dance with other cultural, artistic and natural forms in various found space performances and exhibitions promote discovery, exchange and community involvement.
