The University Honors Program offers academically
advanced students a specially designed program
with a supportive community that fosters critical
thinking, intellectual development, and social
responsibility. This enhanced program is designed
to provide a balance of common experience and
flexibility addressed to individual achievement,
as well as a comprehensive framework to build
disciplinary studies. The program begins in the fall
semester of the freshman year and culminates in
the fourth year with the University Honors Capstone
Seminar. Other opportunities for Honors Program
students are the Honors Cottage and the University
Honors Alliance (UHA). The Cottage serves as
a residence and focal point for meetings and
activities. UHA students are given the opportunity
to participate in service and community projects
throughout the University and community.
