Jan. 24: Australian Consul-General & Trade Commissioner Amanda Hodges will conduct a goodwill and trade mission to Troy University on Jan. 24.
She will be available for media interviews generally between 2 p.m. and 5 p.m. on the Troy Campus. To arrange an interview with Ms. Hodges, please contact the University Relations Office to schedule a time slot.
She will be meeting throughout the day with various members of the Troy University administration to discuss ways of building ties between Australia and the University. She will also be meeting Australian members of the University’s men’s and women’s basketball team during her visit.
Ms. Hodges will be accompanied by TROY alumnus and former student-athlete Bryan M. Wallace, who serves as district manager of the Gulf Region for the Australian Trade Commission. Mr. Wallace is also available for interview.
About Ms. Hodges
Ms. Hodges was appointed to the position of Consul-General and Trade Commissioner (Atlanta) in January 2005. Her responsibilities include facilitating Australian trade across the seven states in the southeastern United States and providing consular services to the 12,000 Australians living and traveling through the region.
Prior to locating in Atlanta, she completed a four-year posting in Milan, Italy. While there she was responsible for building trade and consular services in Italy, Greece, Turkey, Malta, Cyprus and Israel.
Ms. Hodges completed her undergraduate degree at Griffith University in Brisbane, Australia, and her master’s degree at Korea University.
