TROY—For the ninth year, Troy University will host Alabama’s official St. Patrick’s Day Parade on Saturday, March 27.
The parade begins at noon on University Avenue on the Troy Campus and is just one aspect of the University’s Irish Week Celebration. Also on campus that day will be the annual T-Day Game, a live band playing in Tailgate Terrace and Trojan Day for prospective students and their parents, according to Buddy Starling, Dean of Admissions Management and the parade’s coordinator.
The deadline for parade entries is March 22. There is no fee to enter a float, walking group or vehicle. Lineup for the parade will take place between 10:30 a.m. and 11:30 a.m. on the day of the parade.
The University’s annual alumni reunion dinner is also scheduled for March 27. A reception will be held at 5:30 p.m. in the second floor lobby area of the Trojan Center, preceding the annual Alumni Reunion Dinner at 6 p.m. in the Trojan Center Ballrooms. Alumni chapter honors and the University’s Distinguished Leadership Award will be presented during the reunion dinner. Tickets for the event are $30, which includes admission to the reception. Reservation deadline for the dinner is March 23.
