TROY—Nine Troy University students are discovering the world of risk management and insurance through a summer internship and study abroad trip in London.
The students, under the direction of Dr. Carol Jordan, eminent scholar of risk management and insurance, at Troy University, are at Lloyds of London studying the insurance industry first hand.
Lloyd's of London is a unique insurance provider. It is not a company but a brokered market in which over 130 underwriting syndicates both compete and co-operate. This combination enables Lloyd's to offer a wealth of choice, knowledge, experience and expertise under one roof.
“Insurance is always a dynamic arena, but especially today,” Dr. Jordan said. “I am thrilled to place students in London. Lloyd’s is a global market and the experience will add great value to their education.”
