Patty Duke media availability and Helen Keller Lecture Series

March 31, 9:30 a.m.—Patty Duke, who won an Academy Award for her performance of Helen Keller in the 1962 film “The Miracle Worker,” will be available for interview at 9:30 a.m. on Thursday, March 31 in the first-floor lobby of the Admissions Office in the Adams Administration Building. Joining Ms. Duke will be joined by Chancellor Jack Hawkins, Jr., and First Lady Janice Hawkins in the opportunity.

This is a time-limited availability from 9:30 a.m. until 9:40 a.m. and immediately prior to the 10 a.m. Helen Keller Lecture in the Claudia Crosby Theater.

Helen Keller Lecture

The Helen Keller Lecture Series, which is designed to promote awareness of people who excel in their chosen fields despite physical and/or mental limitations, is in its 16th year. Interpreter Training Program students will also be signing The National Anthem.

A mult-box will be available to capture podium audio near the wheelchair area of the theater.
