TROY—A team from Troy University’s Office of Information Technology will visit Daleville Monday, April 18, to give a presentation that will help parents keep their children safe from internet predators.
The TROY team will deliver a Cyberkids presentation at 9 a.m. at the Daleville Cultural and Convention Center as part of the 5th Annual Wiregrass Communities United against Sexual Assault and Child Abuse Conference, according to Greg Price, Troy University’s Chief Technology and Security Officer. Price will deliver the presentation “Protecting Children in Cyberspace, An Overview of Internet Crimes Against Children.”
Price has nearly 15 year’s experience in internet security and cybercrime investigations and has analyzed more than 400 digital crime cases. In 2008, Price launched the Alabama Cyberkids Safety Program in conjunction with the Alabama Attorney General’s Office in 2008. Price and his team from Troy University have given internet safety presentations to more than 90,000 attendees.
