TROY – Troy University officials have named Danielle Pankey director of its Troy for Troops Center.
As director, she will oversee the support services for veterans and active duty military members at all Alabama campuses, as well as the University's virtual veteran support center. The Center functions as a one-stop hub for service members who are TROY students.
"In this role, she will be responsible for the continued enhancement of support for veteran services," said Dr. Don Jeffrey, Vice Chancellor for Military Affairs.
Pankey has previously been responsible for veteran state authorizations and participating in the State Authorization Reciprocity Agreement, coordinating community college articulation agreements and partnerships in support of military families transferring to TROY. A 10-year employee, she previously was the University's Veterans Affairs certifying official at the Tampa service center and MacDill Air Force Base.
She is a Captain in the Alabama National Guard.
