The Hall School of Journalism and Communication offers a Master of Science degree in Strategic Communication that has been ranked among the Top 50 Best Online Master’s Programs in Communications by Affordable Colleges Online for 2015-2016.

The Strategic Communication graduate program is a 30-semester hour program and is designed to be completed in one year. It appeals to professionals across various disciplines seeking to add the skills of effective communication and creating solutions to challenging communication issues, which are recognized as valued and critical to professional success in all major professions. In addition, students will gain knowledge in emerging communication technologies, crisis communication management and the strategic use of social media in an innovative communication environment.

This challenging and timely graduate program prepares students to develop, implement and evaluate communication strategy in an increasingly complex, multifaceted and online environment. It will also give our students many new career options and prepare the successful graduates to teach communication and journalism courses at the undergraduate level. The Master of Science in Strategic Communication degree will provide the preparation needed to apply to doctoral programs.

This program is being offered online through Troy University's eTROY campus. Prior to completion of the program, the student will pass comprehensive exams as well as successfully complete a capstone strategic communication course.
