Dr. Brian Nozny is a Lecturer of Music at Troy University, where he teaches applied percussion, Percussion Methods, Music Theory, History of Rock and Roll, and online Music Appreciation.

Brian holds an undergraduate degree from Virginia Tech, Master's degrees from the University of Miami (Composition) and the University of North Texas (Performance), and his Doctorate in Percussion Performance from the University of Kentucky.

Prior to his arrival at Troy, Dr. Nozny was on the music faculty of Dickinson State University in Dickinson, ND, and Mercer University in Macon, GA.

Active in a variety of capacities, Brian has served as an adjudicator, clinician, and guest artist throughout the United States. Also well known as a composer, Brian's works are performed regularly throughout the world and have been published by Bachovich Music Publications, Henmar Press, Innovative Percussion, and Row-Loff Productions.

Dr. Nozny is proud to be a performing artist for Evans Drumheads, Innovative Percussion, the Pearl/Adams Corporation, and SABIAN Cymbals.
