Dr. Jennifer Fraley is a Lecturer of Music at Troy University, where she teaches the class piano sequence and applied clarinet. Dr. Fraley received a Bachelor’s Degree in Music Education from the University of Wisconsin – Eau Claire, a Master’s in Clarinet Performance from Michigan State University, and a Doctorate in Clarinet Performance from Florida State University.
Dr. Fraley has previously taught courses in theory and woodwind methods, and currently maintains a private studio of clarinet students. Fraley is an active clarinetist throughout the United States, frequently appearing as a clinician, soloist, and orchestral musician. She is third/auxiliary clarinet with the Northwest Florida Symphony Orchestra, and a member of the clarinet/percussion ensemble Sources Duo. Her current research focuses on the creation and promotion of solo repertoire and pedagogical methods for the E-flat clarinet, which can be found on the online resource The E-flat Clarinet Project.
Dr. Fraley is a Yamaha Performing Artist, and plays Yamaha clarinets exclusively.
