Dr. Jinright serves as a Faculty Collaborative Pianist and accompanies student recitals, choral, opera, and musical theatre ensembles and student juries. In addition to his performing duties, he teaches Music Theory, Class Woodwinds, Film Scoring, Recording Studio Repair, Music Appreciation, and Applied Oboe, Bassoon, and Piano. He holds degrees in Music Business and Music Education from Birmingham Southern College, TROY University, and Auburn University. He is trained in audio engineering and has earned certificates as a Pro Tools Operator and in Pro Tools for Music/TV Production. He serves several associations for arts presenters, including the Gulf States Presenters Association and Alabama Presenters Association. Dr. Jinright also serves as an organist locally with 34 years of church music experience and freelances as a vibraphonist and studio musician.
Some of his memberships include the National Association of Professional Band Instrument Repair Technicians, the College Music Society, the National Academy of Recording Arts and Sciences, The Music Educator's National Conference and Phi Delta Kappa International Educational Association.
