Confucius Classrooms/Sites

Confucius Classrooms/sites are centers for Chinese culture and language granted to K-12 schools and mentored by Confucius Institutes. Schools can establish Confucius Classrooms by applying for funding from Hanban for this specific purpose and by agreeing to sustain a Chinese language and culture program. These programs can range from grades K-5, 6-8, 9-12, or any combination.

The Confucius Institute at Troy University has 9 active Confucius Classrooms:

Hoover High School's large, dynamic campus serves a student population of approximately 2,900 students.  With personalized, differentiated learning, numerous academy programs and a low student-teacher ratio, the school operates as and has the feel of a much smaller campus.

Saint Bernard Prep is a co-ed Catholic boarding and day school for grades 7-12. For over a century St. Bernard has provided a quality education to generations of students. The success of the school operated by the Benedictine monks of St. Bernard Abbey is much more than the fine quality of classroom instruction.
