Ms. Jasmine Li Zhang - Visiting Scholar from Xi’an University of Architecture and Technology

Ms. Li Zhang comes from Xi’an, Shaanxi Province, China, currently a visiting scholar at Confucius Institute, Troy University and a lecturer of Xi’an University of Architecture and Technology (XAUAT). She got her Bachelor’s degree of Arts in 2004 from Ningxia University and in 2010 she got her Master’s degree from Hong Kong Polytechnic University (HKPOLYU) majoring in Interpreting and Translating (Simultaneous interpreting perspectives). Upon graduation, she has been working as an English teacher in XAUAT. She has been working for 13 years as an English teacher teaching English majors for undergraduate students. During 13 years of teaching experience, she has accumulated a lot of teaching methods and has published several research papers on pedagogical study. She has written 6 papers published on national periodicals as the first author, and has a number of papers published as a second author. She is also a leader of two academic research teams. One research project was sponsored by Department of Education of Shaanxi province and the other one is sponsored by XAUAT. She is interested in interpreting and translating as well as teaching methodology.
