If so, Troy University’s master’s-level addictions counseling certificate can help you achieve your dreams of providing freedom to others!
As you work to complete TROY’s addictions counseling certificate program, you will be provided with advanced knowledge that will not only make you more competitive in the job market but also give you increased insight and awareness of treatment methods needed within the field of addictions counseling. This graduate certificate consists of 15 semester-hours and is designed to provide you with knowledge of theory, application of counseling skills, knowledge of both normal and pathological development and behavior and expertise in diagnosis and treatment planning.
The academic courses for Troy University’s addiction counseling certificate are offered online with the exception of clinical experience requirements. Upon completing the addiction counseling certificate program, you will be qualified to work in a wide variety of settings such as mental health centers, community health centers, prisons and your own private practice.

The median annual wage for substance abuse and behavioral disorder counselors was $41,070 in May 2016.
