Roberts honored as ‘Woman of the Year in Green Technology’

The National Association of Professional and Executive Women (NAPEW) recently named Patricia Lee Roberts, president of Global PBS, Inc., owner and president of Gold Coast Services, Inc. and past owner of Carriage Hills Golf Course, ‘Woman of the Year’ in Green Technology.

Only one woman from each industry is named ‘Woman of the Year’ and each honoree is selected from thousands of women in their field. They are chosen based on outstanding accomplishments, leadership and service, and then will nationally represent their industry in the ‘Women of Excellence’ Registry.

Roberts of Tampa, FL, has 30 years experience in service and green technology businesses. She has handled organizational management, business development, research and development, marketing and creativity.

Carriage Hills was a public golf course that gave Roberts first-hand experience with environmental issues. Gold Coast Services is a new-construction clean-up company, and Global PBS is a research and development company using polymodal biological sensors to detect harmful pests. This environmentally friendly green technology will offer opportunity to greatly reduce random application of pesticides.

Roberts’ academic accomplishments include completing a master’s degree in psychology from Troy University in 1978.

She attributes her success to always being herself.
