TROY – Troy University has been listed among the most affordable online degree institutions by GetEducated.com.

The national affordability rankings place the University’s eCampus among the best for bachelors degrees in both social sciences and criminal justice.

“We are exited about the rankings. In addition to being recognized for being a ‘best buy,’ TROY’s online students have the added value of working with excellent TROY faculty members in their courses and dealing with a staff that cares about them achieving their individual educational goals,” said Dr. Deb Gearhart, director of eCampus.

GetEducated.com analysts rank, rate and compare distance-learning degrees nationwide and help protects consumers against online degree fraud and diploma mills.

The eCampus ranks seventh on the “Best Buy” list for its bachelors degrees in psychology and social science, and ranks third on the “Best Buy” list for its justice-studies undergraduate degree.

“Hundreds of colleges now offer online degrees,” said GetEducated.com chief analyst Vicky Phillips, “but most public institutions charge a premium to out of state applicants. What’s laudable about Troy is that their international eCampus charges a flat rate tuition making e-learning a reasonable alternative, indeed a bargain, for residents across the USA. This public college is seriously dedicated to making education more accessible to all Americans. Troy is a multiple award winner having received Best Buy designations for their distance degrees in business administration (MBA), and the graduate education and criminal justice career areas in previous GetEducated.com surveys. Troy University is a true bargain in American higher education.”
