MONTGOMERY – Troy University’s Davis Theatre for the Performing Arts has announced that the production of Celtic Legends scheduled for Tuesday, Nov. 27, has been postponed due to international travel problems bringing in the company members from overseas. This performance will be rescheduled for a later date. Patrons are asked to keep their original tickets that will be honored at the rescheduled date that is yet to be announced.

Troy University’s Davis Theatre was recently notified by the booking agency for Celtic Legends that there was a problem receiving visas for bringing in the dancers from overseas. Despite the agency’s best efforts to find a substitute replacement group of high-quality Irish step dancers for the evening of Nov. 27, the agency was unable to find replacements for the performance.

Once a new performance date for Celtic Legends is rescheduled, ticket holders will be notified of the new date and time. The management of the Theatre sincerely apologizes for the inconvenience in this unavoidable situation.

Troy University’s Davis Theatre will be closed during Thanksgiving break from Nov. 21 until Nov. 23. The theatre will reopen on November 26 at 8 a.m. Patrons with questions or concerns may call the theatre at 334-241-9567.
