Troy University Honors Outstanding Faculty and Staff

During Troy University’s annual Outstanding Faculty and Staff Ceremony, Dothan Campus Vice Chancellor Dr. Don Jeffrey (center) presents the Outstanding College of Education Faculty Award to Dr. Quan Yang (left), of Dothan, and the Outstanding College of Education Adjunct Instructor Award to Dr. Lawrence Katz, of Geneva. Dr. Yang is an assistant professor of educational technology. Dr. Katz teaches psychology classes at the Fort Rucker Location and the Dothan Campus.

Troy University honors Dr. Lane Boyte (2nd from left), of Dothan, as the Outstanding Sorrell College of Business Faculty Member of the Year. Sean Affan (3rd from left), of Dothan, is the Outstanding Sorrell College of Business Adjunct Instructor for 2007. Dr. Boyte is an assistant professor of economics on the Dothan Campus. Affan teaches accounting classes.

Troy University staff members Jonua Byrd (2nd from left) and Harry Wills (4th from left) are the Outstanding Staff Members of the Year at Troy University. A resident of Geneva, Byrd retires as Dothan Campus director of Financial Aid and Veterans’ Affairs this month. Wills, of Midland City, is a grounds equipment operator. Dr. Don Jeffery congratulates Dr. Adair Gilbert, of Columbia, on 25 years of service with Troy University. An associate dean, Gilbert heads the Sorrell College of Business on the Dothan Campus.
