TROY -- Alabama residents who want to start their own businesses or achieve the next level of business success will have the opportunity to receive specialized training through a program that will be offered beginning in March in two locations – Dothan and Enterprise.
The program—NxLeveL Business Planning Series— is sponsored by the Troy University Small Business Development Center (TROY-SBDC). It is co-sponsored in Dothan by the Troy University Continuing Education Center and the Dothan Area Chamber of Commerce. The Enterprise program is cosponsored by the Enterprise Chamber of Commerce, the Enterprise, Coffee, Geneva Economic Development Corporation, and Enterprise Ozark Community College (EOCC).
The TROY-SBDC will be providing this training in 10 weekly sessions on Monday evenings in Dothan at Troy University beginning March 3 and Thursday evenings in Enterprise at EOCC beginning March 6 from 5:30 to 8:30 p.m.
The series, now in its ninth year, is provided by the TROY-SBDC at a reduced cost of $150 per participant (normally a $500 fee). The $150 fee includes the cost of the textbook, workbook, resource guide, and all session handouts.
NxLeveL is designed to enhance entrepreneurial skills and assist in creating a comprehensive business plan. The course is offered throughout the state by various Small Business Development Centers in conjunction with the Alabama Small Business Development Consortium in partnership with the SBA.
The NxLeveL Business Planning Series is designed to teach the skills needed to create, develop, and strengthen successful business ventures -- the philosophy is “learn it tonight – use it tomorrow.” The program addresses the special needs of entrepreneurs by providing a practical, hands-on and common sense approach to developing their business.
Seating is limited and reserved for the first 25 paid attendees. Contact the TROY-SBDC at 334-674-2425 for additional information or to register.###
