EDITORS/NEWS DIRECTORS: Troy University’s 13th annual Helen Keller Lecture will be held at 10 a.m., Tuesday, April 8 in the Claudia Crosby Theater located in Smith Hall on the Troy Campus. Former Oklahoma State University football player Martel Van Zant, who was born deaf, will present this year’s lecture through his interpreter Allie Lee.

There will be a limited number of reserved parking spaces for media in the parking lot adjacent to the Crosby Theater/Smith Hall off of Collegedale Street, and a designated area for cameras will be located just inside the theater’s side entrance. A representative from the Office of University Relations will be on hand to direct media to the designated location and assist you in your coverage of this event. Mr. Van Zant and Mr. Lee will be available for 10 to 15 minutes following the lecture on the theater stage.
