May 1: Troy University art and design student Turgay Tuncer will receive a $1,500 check tomorrow from eDR Solutions president Charles Smith for submitting the winning entry in a promotional poster contest for the company’s Hard Drive Crusher.
The Hard Drive Crusher is a device used to destroy decommissioned computer hard drives, and a demonstration of the device will take place with Troy University Chancellor Dr. Jack Hawkins, Jr. crushing the first hard drive.
Mr. Tuncer is a student of Sara Dismukes, assistant professor of art and design.
The ceremony will take place at 10 a.m. in student lounge on the second floor of the Trojan Center. Media covering the event are asked to be in place no later than 9:50 a.m. for this event.
