During a recent professional development conference at Troy University, Beverlye Middle School Teacher Jennifer Pritchard and other Wiregrass educators listen intently to a presentation on research-based strategies in the area of team-based problem solving. Secondary education teacher teams and administrators also discussed new trends in instructional technology and collaborative techniques for managing problem behavior, during the one-day seminar organized by the College of Education. Troy University First Lady Janice Hawkins (not pictured) joined the educators for the event on the Dothan Campus. The next professional development conference on collaboration is scheduled for June 6. In addition to updating their skills, the teachers and administrators are also continuing to assist the College of Education as it prepares to implement a new collaborative secondary education program.
