DOTHAN - Voters in Southeast Alabama will have an opportunity to hear from each of the candidates vying to represent Alabama’s 2nd Congressional District Tuesday, April 29, during a debate at Troy University. The 2nd Congressional Candidate Forum takes place from 10 a.m. to noon in Sony Hall on the Dothan Campus.
Nine candidates are vying for the seat currently held by Congressman Terry Everett, who is not seeking a ninth term in office. Members of the audience will have an opportunity to submit questions for the candidates. The public is invited to attend. Space is limited.
The debate is the third and final in a series of candidate forums presented by Troy University, the American Association of Retired Persons (AARP), WSFA and the Federation of Small and Independent Businesses. Previous debates were held on the Troy Campus and at the WSFA studios.
