China’s Earthquake impacted TROY students
June 6: At 11 a.m., TROY student and Republic of China national Zeng Kailin will present “China’s Earthquake: Personal Experiences.” At home in the Chinese province hardest hit by the May 12 earthquake, Kailin will detail his daily life since the earthquake with a slide show and talk in Room 103 of the General Academic Building. He will take questions following his presentation.
Girls State convenes at TROY
June 8 – 13: Nearly 350 Alabama high school junior girls will call Troy University home June 8 - 13, as Girls State convenes for its ninth year on the campus. A mission of the American Legion Auxiliary, the program provides the opportunity for students to participate in a hands-on citizenship training program that spans more than 50 years in Alabama and 60 years nationally.

Youth Leadership Forum held at TROY
June 8 – 12: Troy University will host 35 high school delegates with disabilities for the Alabama Governor’s Youth Leadership Forum, June 8-12, on the Troy Campus. Delegates will take part in a variety of leadership and team-building exercises throughout the week and will travel to the Alabama State House and the State Capitol on Wednesday, June 11, to meet with Gov. Bob Riley and other state officials to learn about state government and the legislative process.University Relations Notes The University Relations Office will be closed Wednesday, June 4 for a staff development seminar.
