DOTHAN—A student organization at Troy University’s Dothan Campus celebrated St. Patrick’s Day by trying to expand the understanding of Irish history and culture.
Members of the campus Alliance for Cultural Diversity set up a station in Malone Hall on Tuesday where passersby could get refreshments while learning about Irish culture and the history behind St. Patrick’s Day.
Club president Veronica Rogers said she hoped people learned that St. Patrick’s Day is about more than wearing green.
“This club is about celebrating the diversity of all cultures and clearing up misconceptions,” Rogers said.
Rogers is a senior psychology major from Andalusia.
