TROY, Ala.—Troy University’s College of Communication and Fine Arts will give the public a chance to see young dance choreographers display their talents in “Moving On,” in two performances in the Claudia Crosby Theater.
“This is our first student choreography showcase,” said Adena Moree, director of theatre and dance. “It gives emerging choreographers the opportunity to experiment with artistic vision and create story and theme through movement and dance.”
The first performance is scheduled at 7:30 p.m. Thursday, Feb. 25 and again on Saturday, Feb. 27. Both are free and open to the public, but require a ticket from the Crosby Box Office prior to the shows’ openings. The box office opens at 6:45 p.m. both days.
The student-produced and choreographed dances feature Department of Theatre and Dance students, the Troy Repertory Dance Ensemble and the Ensemble’s junior company.
