DOTHAN—Troy University’s Department of Theatre and Dance and the John M. Long School of Music will present “Guys and Dolls” April 22-25 in the Trojan Center Theater.

The Tony Award-winning musical features many well-known show tunes such as “Luck Be a Lady” and “Sit Down, You’re Rockin’ the Boat.” It tells the story of a gambler who is desperate to find money to pay for his floating craps game. In the process, he bets a gambling partner that he can’t take a local Salvation Army girl to Cuba – a bet the partner wins. A roll of the dice ultimately determines whether the group of gamblers repent or win $1,000.

Based on a short story by Damon Runyon with music and lyrics by Frank Loesser and a book by Abe Burrows, “Guys and Dolls” will be performed at 7:30 p.m. April 22-24 and at 2:30 p.m. on April 25.

Tickets are available at the Trojan Center Box Office. General admission is $10 and $5 for TROY students with student identification. Contact the box office by calling 334-670-3293.
