TROY – Troy University's Small Business Development Center will offer a one-day seminar that will give businesses a leg up in developing proposals for the federal government.
"Effective Federal Government Proposal Preparation Methods and Practices" will be from 9 a.m. until 4 p.m. on June 23 in the Joint Training Center at University Park at 518 South Brundidge St.
Lunch and materials are provided for the $20 registration fee, and the program is limited to the first 40 paid registrants. To register, contact Monica Stephens at mstephen@troy.edu or call 334-674-2425.
"Participants will receive two hours of instruction, followed by six hours of scenario-based training," said Judy Callin, a senior consultant with the Center.
Topics will include breaking down a solicitation, developing a proposal preparation outline, coordinating proposal sub-parts for completion, writing the technical volume, writing the past performance volume, conducting in-process review meetings, completing the costing volume and pulling the proposal together.
The seminar is led by Jerry Ellison, a seasoned business leader and consultant with years of extensive experience in securing and managing government contracts nationwide.
The seminar is co-sponsored by the Alabama Procurement Technical Assistance Program and the University's Center for International Business and Economic Development.
